Relationship of Parties
Kothe Distilling Technologies Inc. (Illinois) is the exclusive manufacturer's representative of Kothe Destillationstechnik GmbH (Germany) in North America. Kothe Distilling Technologies Inc. is a legally separate entity and is not a reseller, distributor, subsidiary, or division of Kothe Destillationstechnik GmbH.
Limitation of Liability & Warranty
Kothe Distilling Technologies Inc. facilitates the ordering process but does not assume liability for production delays, insolvency proceedings, or failure to deliver by the manufacturer, Kothe Destillationstechnik GmbH. Any warranty for the products shall run directly from Kothe Destillationstechnik GmbH to the customer.
Pursuant to its standard warranty, the customer shall return any defective products directly to Kothe Destillationstechnik GmbH. Kothe Distilling Technologies Inc. shall have no authority or responsibility to accept any returned equipment or engage in any product warranty matter with the customer. Kothe Distilling Technologies Inc. does not provide or imply any product warranties without the express written consent of Kothe Destillationstechnik GmbH.
Transfer of Title for Custom Equipment
The customer acknowledges that for manufacturing equipment orders, title to the goods transfers strictly according to the terms set forth by Kothe Destillationstechnik GmbH and applicable German Law. Kothe Distilling Technologies Inc. does not hold title to the custom manufacturing equipment at any point.
Shipping Policy (US Inventory & Workshops Only)
The following shipping terms apply exclusively to spare parts, merchandise, and workshop materials shipped directly from our US inventory in Chicago. Shipping rates for these specific items are calculated by the carrier based on weight and dimensions. Any US inventory items being shipped outside of the continental United States will have an additional shipping fee.
Note on Custom Equipment: Shipping, importation, and delivery of custom distillation systems are governed solely by the purchase contract with the manufacturer, Kothe Destillationstechnik GmbH (Germany). Kothe Distilling Technologies Inc. acts only as a consultant for logistics and is not the shipper, carrier, or seller of record for custom equipment.
Return Policy (US Inventory Only)
For spare parts and merchandise purchased directly from our US inventory: If you are not satisfied with your purchase within the first 14 days of receiving your order, you may return it for a full refund. We ask that you pay the shipping fee of sending the item back to us. If the item has been damaged in any way or previously used, a refund will not be made available to you.
Custom Equipment Returns: Kothe Distilling Technologies Inc. cannot accept returns of custom manufacturing equipment. All warranty claims and return requests for stills must be directed to the manufacturer in Germany in accordance with your purchase contract.
Workshop Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
You can cancel your workshop participation for a full refund within the first 14 days of purchasing a seat but no later than 21 days before the workshop date. If you are not available to attend the purchased workshop, you may be offered a seat in a later workshop. Please email
